Sewing Circle from Needlecase - IE445

Needle Cases - IE445 Download Collection

Our newest sewing ephemera collection, Needle Cases, features vintage paper cases that were produced as retail packaging for needles. Use this collection to make an addition to your sewing room like this button jar.

Button Jar Project

Step 1: Choose your favorite needlecase image and print onto The Vintage Workshop's Matte Paper with Adhesive Backing. Cut out along the image edge.

Step 2: Print your favorite background image or simply use colored cardstock to create a background piece. Cut a this piece larger than your chosen image using decorative edge scissors. Edge with gold paint pen. Adhere the needlecase image to the background piece. Using red liner tape or double sided tape stick the image onto a vintage jar or lidded mason jar.

Step 3: Add vintage buttons to accent the image. See the sample to the right for placement. Fill with buttons. Layer them according to color for a rainbow effect. Tie on a ribbon around the neck to finish.
